Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives (KAEC)
KAEC is governed by a board consisting of one manager and one director from each of its
twenty-seven member systems, and is headquartered in Louisville. KAEC provides
representation before the legislature, Congress, and regulatory bodies; safety training;
coordination of management training; and public relations support including publication of
Kentucky Living magazine.
Middle Tennessee Industrial
Development Association (MTIDA)
An
economic development agency founded by the electric cooperative and municipal power
systems in Middle Tennessee. The organization
represents and promotes industrial development in 38 Middle Tennessee counties.
National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA)
This group is funded by TVA distributors to enhance local, regional and state economic
development efforts.
National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC)
Cooperative of nearly 900 rural utilities and affiliated organizations serving 48
states. NRTC was founded in 1986 with the vision to provide rural communities across
the nation with access to the same modern telecommunications services enjoyed by urban
residents.
South Kentucky Industrial Development Association
(SKIDA)
Represents the electric power distributors in 26 counties supporting efforts for economic
growth by recruiting new industrial jobs to this area.
Tennessee Electric Cooperative
Association (TECA)
The Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association, headquartered in
Nashville, is a statewide organization established in 1942 to serve the
needs of Tennessee’s 22 electric cooperative power distributors along
with one municipal system that is eligible for membership. TECA
provides representation before the legislature, Congress, and regulatory
bodies; safety training; coordination of management training; and public
relations support including publication of The Tennessee Magazine.
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)
Nation's largest public power corporation, producing more than 163 million
kilowatt-hours of electricity each year. Steward of the Tennessee river system and
Economic Development agency.
Tennessee Valley Industrial Development
Association (TVIDA)
A division of TVA whose focus is to enhance local, regional and state economic development
efforts. This details all available industrial buildings in the Tennessee
valley.
Tennessee Valley
Public Power Association (TVPPA)
Is a nonprofit service organization for consumer-owned utilities in the Tennessee
Valley. TVPPA provides Tennessee Valley utilities high quality training, regional
management conferences, research and development projects and a strong legislative
advocacy program.

The Macon County Chamber of Commerce was chartered in 1963 to promote economic
development in the county. The purpose of the Chamber, according to its by-laws, is

prosper."

The Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce is an independent, non-profit
organization established to promote the commercial, industrial, and civic interests of
Metcalfe County. Their motto is "to promote pride and progress" in
Metcalfe County. Their goal is to serve both their members and the community at
large. They strive to strengthen and improve the Metcalfe County business
environment in order to promote the economic well-being of all citizens.
